Please join my true grassroots fundraising effort - The $10 x 10,000 Challenge. If 10,000 people donate just $10, that will fulfill one goal towards qualifying for matching campaign funds and leveling the playing field for regular New Yorkers.

The matching funds system gives small donors real clout as their contributions are multiplied by a factor of seven. That means each $10 contribution is actually worth $70.

New York has been about government by the few. Campaign finance laws were created to bring a bigger voice to the people this city relies on - the everyday hard working men and women struggling to make ends meet, the un and underemployed looking for better opportunities, access to quality education for our children and the jobs skills they need to succeed.

By receiving at least $10 from at least 10,000 people in the city it will help me qualify for these matching funds - and help launch a campaign for everyone.

We have to move quickly. I hope to qualify by September 21.
